The lion embodied raw power, and to defeat it was to affirm divine right and protect the order of the world. Carved into stone reliefs more than two thousand years ago, these scenes of man and lion became the timeless image of rule. The Triumé carries this memory in its engravings, echoing the first symbols of kingship.
